Yoga content: Sthira sukham asanam

Unusual and beautiful interpretation of sutra 2.46, by Hamish Hendry in his book Yoga Dharma.
Sthira sukham asanam – steady comfort posture.
Asana should be steady and comfortable and should bring steadiness and comfort. Asana can also mean being, so we should try to be steady and comfortable with our being. When that is so, it is said that a yogi has everything he/she needs, for all we need is within us.
