I’m sure most of you have already heard that Guruji passed away Monday afternoon in India, May 18th, around 2:45 in the afternoon.
I could say many things about Guruji, suffice to say he was a great many things to many people, and whatever he was to each of us, without him its very unlikely this yoga would have reached the west. He had quite a life, and he will be missed.
To honor him during this auspicious time, we are planning a few events at YIY, and we hope you can join us if you feel so moved.
For the next three days in the morning before class I will be at the studio at six am to sit for a half hour before class. We will have a card to send to the family, which you can sign, and if you want to you are welcome to bring any flowers or sweets for our picture of Guruji.
For those of you who would like to come at another hour, Mojdeh will be leading an hour’s silent meditation class this Sunday, May 24th, at 6 pm and you are welcome to join us there.
