Dear Mysore Students,

Thank you so much for your patience, trust and dedication. I know that sometimes we don’t get a chance to share much information and apologize for that. We have been working diligently to find a good, high quality teacher (2 possibly) to fill Anne’s place permanently.

We are excited about one possibility and, if all goes well, we hope for an August start date. We are open to any possibility that can offer a good fit.

We are scheduling couple of days to co-teach with Lizzie for one potential teacher in the last week of May.

Please let us know your feedback, whatever that is and please keep an eye out for the update for get-together/potluck with David Roche.

With warmest regards,

Joseph and Sabina

I’ve just received an e-mail that new edition of “Ashtanga yoga as it is” with the sequencing of all the series is available again. I thought that some of you might be interested in that. It costs $35 plus s&h. I will order couple of copies and if someone would like one I can add to the shopping list. I will place an order tomorrow (Saturday April 29th) afternoon and if you want a copy send me an e-mail: ebeatas@yahoo.com.

take care

Dear YIY mysore folk:

My husband, Tom, is going to be in Misalliance, a play by Georger Bernard Shaw, at Pear Ave Theatre. The performances run the first three weekends in May.

We thought, however, that we might make a yogi outing and try to go the same evening. Ken and Elaine have already gotten tickets for Saturday May 13, and we thought this might be a great evening. You can get your tickets from www.thepear.org or by calling 650-254-1148; tickets are 20$ for adults and 15$ for seniors and students.

The theatre is small and only seats about 40, so get your tickets early. If you are planning to go, perhaps we could all get together before the performance for dinner.

Namaste, Amy T.

While I have been visiting southern ca. and enjoying lovely warm weather and magic-lands of disney and seaworld with Nina, I’ve managed to continue my practice - thanks to a beautiful shala in Dana Point called Pacific Ashtanga Yoga Shala - http://www.pacificashtanga.com, where Diana Christinson is teaching. The space is very peaceful, tranquil, warm and allows you to totally ‘let-go’ and Diana’s teaching is great - she has a wonderful style of making you go beyond your ‘limits’ but has a soft and sensitive way of doing it - encouraging you all along. With a few less students in the msyore class than YiY, I was lucky to have an adjustment in every other pose, and it felt great! I would highly recommend anyone travelling to Southern California, more specific Laguna beach, Dana Point, Irvine to definitely study with Diana - she also has two evening mysore classes in case you can’t make it the morning - what a treat!
