Antonia asked me to post this:

I’m going to India from 10/23/05 to 2/10/06 and am offering my home, furnished, for rent during this window of time. I could make it available as early as 10/1.

This beautiful single family home ~ graced by dragonflies, hummingbirds, and lush gardens ~ is nestled in the hills of Belmont, CA, just 15 minutes south of the San Francisco International Airport, minutes from the 101, 92, 280, and Caltrain.

2 BR (one furnished as an office that looks out on the garden with FCP 4.0 G4 editing system), 1BA, living room with wood-burning fireplace, equipped kitchen with water filtration and new appliances, dining room, home yoga studio (converted garage; could be den or additional bedroom), W/D, hardwood floors throughout, gorgeous front garden with custom stone work and back garden with wood decking. There’s a standalone room/office with views at the top of the hill in the backyard.

Cable TV, internet, local phone service, trash/recycling, weekly gardener are set up. Kid-friendly. No pets or smoking. Degree to which I clear my stuff is negotiable.

Just in case you did not know, Kirsten is teaching private lessons during her stay here. If you are interested, ask her about it during class.

A reminder that there will be no Mysore class this Thursday September 22. Instead, we will celebrate the changing of the seas0n and the coming of Fall with 108 Sun Salutations from 7 to 9 am. Connie will be chanting throughout. Please join us!

You can enjoy a light breakfast afterwards.

Chai Matters16 Sep 2005 09:36 pm

I know we are all attached to our chai in the mornings. And I want to applaud those who have lately become part of the chai crew.

The only issue that stands before us is cleanup. A few times we’ve left chai drops and bits of sugar on the counter, and this doesn’t do for a yoga studio. I guess it’s not very fun to clean up chai if you haven’t gotten to have any.

I also know part of it is often the person who’s brought chai can’t stay to pick up pots, (myself included) so it’s sometimes hard for the chai maker to actually take responsibility.

So what I think I would ask is just this. If you like chai, please help out in that if you see that there’s chai or sugar on the counter, please if you have a moment grab a napkin from the back and water from the fountain and wipe up. Otherwise we might possibly face chai endangerment, which just wouldn’t do.

I think if we all put in our moment there will be no problems, and we can continue our yoga and chai practice in bliss.

Over and out,

Anne

I’ve posted a “guest teacher” page on the YIY site with 3 photos of Kirsten and Mitchell doing yoga. You can see them here:
