Hey all,

I want to congratulate everyone for their enthusiasm and support, we had a rousing 27 students at Mysore on Wednesday. And thanks to Ken for his chai. It keeps us all going in the morning.

To keep things evenly spaced we would like to encourage students who can fit it in their schedules to come later at 7 - 7:30am if possible.

Philippe and I are planning trips this next week, here are the subs in parenthesis:

Tuesday 6/7 for Mysore (Jennifer Morrison/Dave Hamilton)
Wednesday 6/8 for Mysore (Philippe)
Thursday 6/9 Mysore (Philippe/Dave)
Sunday 6/12 Mysore (Jennifer)

Moon Days for June are Monday June 6 and Tuesday June 21 (for those of you newer to the practice, Moon Days are rest days so it means there is no class -here’s more about them).

On June 21 we will be doing 108 Sun Salutations with Connie chanting to celebrate the Summer Solstice, so please free to join us.

So the latest is that the 7 p.m. Sutra discussion group this Sunday, June 5th, will be at Laurel’s house after all. 650 450 2624 if you need directions or have any other questions.

We are meeting to have tea and discuss sutras from the second book of Yoga Sutras of Patanjali. If you haven’t been before and want to prepare please read the first 15 sutras of the second book, if you have been before you can look over sutras 10-15 of the second book. You don’t have to read these to come, and if you feel inclined you can bring a dessert or special tea to share.

As the Ashtanga Yoga community has grown at Yoga is Youthfulness, so has need the need to communicate. We do our best with announcements in class, but we felt we needed a different forum to allow for more information and discussion.

We thought a blog would be a perfect tool, so we set up Morning Mysore at www.morningmysore.com

This blog will include references to relevant workshops and events, and also keep us all posted when it comes to subbing schedules, Moon Days, Sutra classes and more. If you would like to post something in the blog like an experience, travel trip, book review, photos etc., please let us know by emailing info at morningmysore.com. We welcome contributions and would really like this to be a “community blog.”
